How it all began
Hi my name is Hayley Hill, I've shown dogs ever since I was 7 years old in NSW. My parents bred and showed Border Collies under the prefix Wirrillawind. I've admired the pointer for as long as I can remember. I would always sit and watch the gundogs and when the pointer would enter the ring, I would say to myself "Wow look how graceful that beautiful dog is". I suppose you can say I've had a love affair for this wonderful breed since then and I always knew that one day I would have a pointer of my own............the rest is history.
My first pointers were Aust Ch Moruada Choc Coated (Sprocket) & Rhyll Ripponlea (Steph) who arrived in 2009 and became part of our new show team. I was hooked from the moment I got them, with their outgoing personality and love of life. In 2010 we decided it was time for us to bring these two together and have our very first litter for Wintacove. This produced the very first Champion for our prefix, Aust Ch Wintacove Whatcha Waiting For (Wally) who from a young baby puppy excelled in the ring, winning many baby puppy in groups and classes in Show. Wally also qualified for Puppy of the year for our Zone in North Queensland. I'm so proud of what I had achieved in such a short time with the breed.
In 2011 I got to know Karen & James Mackenzie-Smith of Whitford Park Pointers in NSW, where a new friendship was born. Karen now being my mentor and guide having over 30 years experience in the breed, has shown me where I need to be with this lovely breed. They allowed me to be part of their very first litter for Whitford Park where they gave me Ella - Aust Ch Whitfordpark Show Me The Money to run on here in a partnership. People would say she is my baby and yes my pride and joy. From the day Ella arrived it has been a wild and fun journey. Ella is a multi Best in Group winner, Multi sweepstakes winner as well as Multi Class in show winner. With Ella's full on show presence she has always excelled in the ring.
Karen and James have taught me so much about the breed and if it wasn't for their constant guidance I wouldn't be where I am today. Words cannot express enough how much I appreciate their help and support.
I look forward to what the future holds.
